About Holiday Food Box

NeedLink Nashville has been hosting a Holiday Food Box project since 1912, when local businessmen delivered peach baskets full of food to the shanty towns that then lined the Railroad Gulch and Cumberland River on Christmas Eve.

Last year, NeedLink Nashville, the Nashville Predators, Jackson, and Publix partnered to provide 300 Holiday Food Boxes to families, individuals and seniors in Nashville.

We collect food from local corporate partners such as Publix and Jackson and others and purchase fresh produce from the Second Harvest. We spend a day having the food delivered, sorted and placed into the reusable grocery bags and we deliver them to needy families.
